Futsal and Beach Soccer Sub-Committee Ready For Inauguration

Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is set to inaugurate the Futsal and Beach Soccer Sub-Committee on Thursday at its Secretariat in Abuja.
This event will be overseen be NFF President, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau.
Futsal and Beach Soccer Sub-Committee will oversee the organization of all futsal and beach soccer competitions and manage related affairs.
The committee will be chaired by Otuekong Nse Essien, with Alhaji Ahmed Yusuf (Fresh), the Chairman of Chairmen of Nigeria Football, serving as vice chairman.
Other members include Aminu Mohammed Inuwa, Hon. Suleiman Yahaya-Kwande, Hajji Liameed Gafaar, Mr. Richard Jideaka, and Yabagi Alhaji Baba. Abubakar D. Umar (Barde) has been appointed as the committee’s secretary.
Nigeria has previously achieved notable success in beach soccer, with the Supersand Eagles winning the Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations in 2007 and 2009 and reaching the quarter-finals of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Italy 13 years ago.
Recently, the Confederation of African Football conducted the draw for this year’s Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations qualifying series.
The Sand Eagles are set to play Mauritania in a home-and-away format next month.
A total of 14 countries will compete in the qualifiers, with the seven winners joining hosts Egypt at the finals.
