Fulham manager Marco Silva has lauded the exceptional performance of Calvin Bassey for the club in recent weeks.

The Nigerian international seamlessly transitioned into the left side of a back three and was instrumental in the Club’s 5-0 win over Nottingham Forest at Craven Cottage on Wednesday.

The Nigeria international drew widespread acclaim for his role in the commanding victory, receiving rave reviews for his defensive prowess and overall contribution to the game.

Silva, expressing admiration for Bassey’s adaptability to the new position, praised the defender’s pivotal role in securing the Club’s biggest win of the season.

“Bassey played on the left-hand side, which is usually Tim’s role, and it was nice to see him perform as well, ” the gaffer said after the game.

The 23-year-old joined Fulham for £16m from Eredivisie outfit Ajax in the summer.

After a slow start, he has now featured in eleven league matches for the Cottagers.
