Nigeria’s Flying Eagles began their preparation towards the 2019 U-20 World Cup in Poland with a 3-3 draw with Freiburg U19 side in Ingolstadt, Germany on Tuesday.
The Flying Eagles started the game slowly, while the Germans were bright in the attack and it wasn’t a surprise when they go into thehalf-time break with 2-1 advantage.
The Paul Aigbogun tutored side draw level through Jerome Akor in the second half , before Tom Dele-Bashiru and Henry Offia scored the other goals for Nigeria in the encounter.
The likes of Olawale Oremade, Valentine Ozornwafor, Solomon Ogberahwe and Hamdi Akujobi all featured for the Flying Eagles in the game.
Nigeria is still looking for her first U-20 World Cup title and are desperate to go all the way in Poland after securing second position twice in the past.
The tournament will hold between May 23 to June 15 2019.
