Brentford FC’s Nigerian midfielder Frank Onyeka has expressed his desire to leave the club before the summer transfer window closes at the end of August.
According to BBC reports, Onyeka is unhappy with his limited playing time and is looking to explore opportunities elsewhere.
The 26-year-old has communicated his decision to Brentford manager Thomas Frank, and several clubs have already shown interest in acquiring his services.
Among the potential suitors are teams from England, Spain, and France.
Onyeka had opportunities to leave Brentford in January, including a loan move with an option to buy from Girona, a club that has since qualified for the Champions League under City Football Group’s ownership.
Despite the growing interest, it remains uncertain what terms Brentford would accept to release Onyeka, who is under contract until 2027 with an option for an additional year.
