Nigerian international forward, Francisca Ordega was the shero of the day in CSKA Moscow’s 2-1 comeback victory over Dynamo Moscow, on Sunday.
Ordega’s late goal in the 85th minute secured three crucial points for her team, who are in pursuit of the league leaders, Zenit.
The match started with Dynamo taking the lead in the 52nd minute through Helena Bozic.
However, CSKA Moscow responded, with Darya Yakovleva netting the equalizer in the 75th minute.
Just ten minutes later, Ordega, converted her opportunity and scored the winning goal that clinched the victory for the side.
This goal brings Ordega’s tally to 10 goals in only eight league appearances for CSKA Moscow this season.
With this win, CSKA Moscow now holds 59 points from 22 matches, keeping them in second place in the league standings, three points behind Zenit.
The Russian champions will next face Lokomotiv Moscow on November 9, 2024, as they continue their battle for the title.
