Former Super Eagles striker Chukwu Ndukwe said the Super Eagles showed character and the spirit of a team capable of playing at the world cup following their 1-0 victory against Poland in a test game on Friday in Wroclaw.
The Super Eagles defeated their host courtesy a 61st minute penalty after several solid defensive displays to keep out the in-form Robert Lewandowski and the gritty Polish attack.
Ndukwe told brila.net that the Eagles outsmarted their highly rated opponents and hailed the team for its bravery and ability to stop Poland from “playing their normal game.”
However, he did also pointed out that certain aspects of the team need tweaking.
