Former D’Tigers coach, Sanni Ahmed has voiced his support for the decision to involve Ogoh Odaudu and Abdulrahman Mohammed in the NBA Summer League.
Speaking to Brila.net, Ahmed stated that this experience would significantly benefit the coaches by providing them with valuable exposure and insights into the latest trends in basketball.
Ahmed described the opportunity as a “welcome development” and named it to a refresher course for the coaches.
He believes that the knowledge and skills they will acquire will be instrumental in enhancing the training and performance of players back in Nigeria.
“It’s a good one and I think it’s a big development because whatever they go and learn, they will come back and transform their net,” Ahmed said.
He added that experienced coaches like Odaudu and Mohammed would share their newfound knowledge with other coaches, thereby uplifting the overall standard of basketball in Nigeria.
