Former coach of Nigeria’s senior national basketball team and present coach of Angola Williams Voigt has told brila about his relationship with the new handler of the Nigeria National Basketball team, D’tigers.

Brown earlier in the year agreed to become the new head coach for the Nigeria national men’s basketball team that is heading to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

“Mike is a good friend, we worked together at San Antonio, He ‘s a great coach, We talked very much about this new role and He has all it takes to manage the team, being the best in Africa.

“I just hope for consistency and stability with the team, I hope the appointment is not just for the Olympics

“I don’t want a situation where he is coming for just the Olympics, and after the competition another person is hired” He needs consistency and stability to do great things, Voigts stated.

“He’s very detailed and organized, you know he is from the Military family, so I hope he his able to bring all of his great attributes to the team,” He said.

Nigeria will be appearing in the Olympics’ men’s basketball competition for the third straight time later this year in Tokyo.
