Winning MVP honors isn’t a big priority anymore for D’Tigress and Elephant Girls point Guard Nkechi Akashili.
A five-time League MVP with multiple championship titles, Akashili told brila.net she would rather win more team titles than MVP recognition at this stage of her career.
‘It’s not all about winning the MVP, but helping my team win.
‘When my team wins I don’t really care who picks the MVP; that’s not the main issue because I’m used to it.
‘I’ve won five, so I’m used to it, I just want to see my team win more title,’ Akashali said.
