Coach of Nigeria’s U20 national team Paul Aigbogun has stated that he has been working underground in a bid to strengthen the Flying Eagles ahead of their participation at the fast approaching FIFA U20 world cup in Poland and that Samuel Chukwueze, Kingsley Michael and other good players within the age range are players he hopes to have joined the team for the world cup campaign.
Aigbogun speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said the Flying Eagles have been training and the arrangement has been for players to continue to shuttle between the club and U20 national team training so that they can continue to maintain form through regular games and also scouting rival world cup teams through periodic information from the team’s analyst.
“We have just been training and we have been allowing them to go and play their games with their clubs and it is important they play games you know.
We have an analyst too who collects information about our rival teams too. There are few players we have been monitoring like Samuel Chukwueze, Kingsley Michael and anyone within the age range but they are not so many. “
Nigeria’s U20 national team will feature at next month’s FIFA U20 world cup in Poland and are yet to play any international friendly game as a group.
