Flying Eagles captain Oluwatosin Adegbite to miss AFCON

Head coach, Ladan Bosso has named Daniel Bamaiyi as the new captain of Flying Eagles ahead of the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.

Bosso appointed Bamaiyi on Friday and the youngster will lead the team in the absence of Oluwatosin Adegbite.

Adegbite, who led the team to WAFU zone B glory will miss the tournament in Egypt after picking up an injury.

Bamaiyi will be assisted by, Daniel Daga and Chijioke Aniagboso.

The Flying Eagles have been drawn against Egypt, Mozambique and Senegal in the Group A of the African Cup of Nations in Egypt.

The team is expected to depart Nigeria for Morocco on Monday.
