It was a good outing for Super Eagles duo of Calvin Bassey and Joe Aribo as they helped Glasgow Rangers reach the final of the Europa League in a 3-1 second leg win against RB Leipzig to go through 3-2 on aggregate.
Aribo started the game as a false nine, following the absence of Alfredo Morelos, while Calvin Bassey maintained his position in CB as part of a four-man defence.
Leon Balogun was named among the substitute, but came on for Ryan Jack in the final 30 minutes of the game.
The three Nigerian stars however played crucial roles in the game as Rangers eventually advance into their first European final for 14 years.
Trailing 1-0 from the first leg, the Gers fought back to win the second leg 3-1 and book a ticket for the finals.
James Tavernier opened the scoring with Glen Kamara adding a second soon after; Christopher Nkunku levelled the tie before John Lundstram fired home the winner; the Ibrox side will play Frankfurt in Seville on May 18.
