Finidi talks up players readiness for Saturday’s season opener against Diambars FC

Enyimba International has departed the country for Senegal, for their CAF Confederation Cup clash against Diambars FC.

 

The Aba Elephants traveled to Senegal on Thursday afternoon ahead of Saturday’s first leg encounter.

 

The team was led by the new coach, Finidi George and it included new signings Samuel Kalu and Adekunle Adeleke.

 

Speaking ahead of the game, Finidi said:

 

“We are okay at the moment. I like the response from the players. They are all willing to learn and listen, so I love the spirit in the camp and if we can keep it up, then we have chances of doing something great this season.

 

“Until we move closer to the game, before I can talk about what we are going to do, but I’m just happy that players responding. ”

 

Enyimba will have their first training at the match venue on Friday before facing Diambars on Saturday.

 

The People’s Elephants will be hoping to return to Nigeria with a positive result ahead of the second leg.
