Finidi George Tight-Lipped on Contract Details

Finidi George has been officially introduced as the new Head Coach of the Super Eagles at an unveiling ceremony which took place in Abuja on Monday, where the former Enyimba coach was welcomed with enthusiasm and optimism.

During the press conference following his appointment, Finidi remained elusive when questioned about the specifics of his contract, deflecting attention away from financial matters and emphasizing his focus on the team’s performance and success on the field.

“I am not quite worried about earning even as much or even more than (predecessor Jose) Peseiro because what I’m getting is good enough for me at the moment.

“The moment I add value to what I’m here to do, the money will definitely come,” said Finidi when he was asked.

Despite the secrecy surrounding the contractual details, it has been confirmed that the 52 year-old has committed to a two-year contract.

He’s been charged to qualify the team for next Africa Cup of Nations and 2026 FIFA World Cup.
