FIFA Women’s W/Cup – Aisha Falode tasks Falcons to bring it home!

The Chairperson of Women football in Nigeria Aisha Falode has charged the Super Falcons team to do well and bring the trophy back to Nigeria by emerging as the champions of the competition.

Falode made this call at the ceremony of the FIFA Women trophy tour at Abuja, www.brila.net reports saying the best performance the super Falcons team at the world cup had was at the USA 1999 where they got to the quarterfinals.
Speaking further, Falode said the team with the best preparation over the years is this present super Falcons saying they have gotten several training tours and will be camped the same place the Super Eagles team were camped during preparation for their world cup in Russia.
The Football federation Chief charged the team to set a realistic target and reciprocate every gesture given them by doing the country proud at the world cup in France later this year.
From the team’s base in Austria, the Falcons will fly into France, where they take on Norway, the Korea Republic and tournament hosts France in the group stage of the 8th FIFA Women’s World Cup finals, holding June 7 to July 7.
