FIFA U20 World Cup: Flying Eagles good enough to beat Argentina — Pascal

Former Super Eagles, Patrick Pascal has backed Nigeria’s U20 MNT, the Flying Eagles, as they battle Argentina for a place in FIFA U20 World Cup, round of 16.

Nigeria will face the hosts later today, with the winner moving to the last eight of the competition.

Los Cebollitas qualified for the round of the 16 with a 100% record, while the Flying Eagles qualified as one of the best third best teams.

In a chat with Brila.net Pascal stated that the team has performed incredibly well and deserved all the praises they are getting, but warned against complacency.

“I’m impressed with the boys Ladan Bosso took to the tournament,” Pascal said. “They have shown hunger, zeal and determination so far, but that isn’t enough.”

“The most important thing is not to lose concentration, because at this level, that’s usually the problem.

“They have to come all out, play well and focus. If they can do that, they stand a very good chance against Argentina.”
