Nigeria U17 midfielder Ibrahim Sai’d has been nominated for the goal of the tournament award at the just concluded 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Brazil.
Said’s 84th-minute strike in the Golden Eaglets 3-2 win against Ecuador in Nigeria’s second Group B game at the 2019 FIFA U17 World Cup is among the ten goals shortlisted by FIFA.
The Dabo Babes Academy midfielder’s scored Nigeria’s second goal with a superb curling effort from the edge of the area.
Also nominated are; Brazil’s Gabriel Veron who won the most valuable player prize of the competition, Goden Boot winner Sontje Hansen from Netherlands, France’s Nathaniel Mbuku and Diego Duarte.
Others are; Diego (Brazil) Matias Godoy (Argentina), Degnand Gnonto, Gaetano Oristanio (both Italy) and Santiago Munoz (Mexico).
Voting is still ongoing but will end next week Monday and winner will be announced same day by FIFA.
