FIFA Ranking: Super Falcons remains Africa’s Best

Nigeria moved eight places in the latest FIFA Women’s World rankings.

In a ranking released on Friday, Nigeria moved from 40th to 32nd, retaining the number spot in Africa, but also reaching their highest ever ranking in the World standings.

 

The record African Champions had an impressive outing at the just concluded FIFA Women’s World Cup winning a game and drawing three.

 

Meanwhile, Morocco are the highest climbers from the rankings released.

 

Debutants at the World Cup – one of three African sides that reached knock out rounds – the Atlas Lioness moved from 72nd to 58th, and are now 4th in Africa.​

 

The next ranking will be released on 15 December.
