Chairman of Nigeria’s third tier of league football Nationwide League Mohammed Alkali has stated that the football restart palliatives from FIFA as well as CAF will help lessen some financial burden on clubs in the NLO who have before now suffer marginalization.
An elated Alkali speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said the funds distribution reaching the NLO is first of its kind and sees it as one that will give clubs in the third tier of league football in Nigeria a sense of belonging as wellas enable the real club owners in Nigeria league football system a chance to earn income from the league through the palliative.
“I was so happy when I heard the good news this is the first of its kind in the history of this country that a fund coming will reach the lower clubs in the NLO. At least it is giving them a sense of belonging that one day all the owners of clubs in NLO will rejoice and a lot of burden will be reduced that was my prayer as the Chairman of the NLO make sure that I reduce the burden to the real owners of clubs in Nigeria.”
