FIFA has announced that the draw for the U17 Women’s World Cup will take place this Saturday at the Frey Antón de Montecinos monument in the Dominican Republic.
FIFA has announced that the draw for the U17 Women’s World Cup will take place this Saturday at the Frey Antón de Montecinos monument in the Dominican Republic.
According to FIFA’s website, the draw will be conducted by FIFA’s director of tournaments, Jaime Yarza, and will feature assistance from Dominican athlete Thais Herrera and Mexican player Tatiana Flores.
Among the sixteen teams competing for the championship is Nigeria’s Flamingos, who secured their spot with a decisive victory over Liberia under the guidance of coach Bankole Olowookere.
The tournament, set to be hosted by the Dominican Republic, will run from October 16 to November 3, 2024.
