FIFA: Amokachi’s goal nominated for massive World Cup Honour

[dropcap]F[/dropcap]IFA has asked fans to choose their favourite ever goal scored in a World Cup tournament, with Former Nigerian International, Daniel Amokachi’s goal in contention.

Daniel Amokachi’s goal against Greece in stoppage time at the Foxboro Stadium, at the 1994 World Cup made the shortlist with competition from former Liverpool star, Michael Owen.

Goals scored by Brazilian legend Pele, Diego Maradona, Saeed Al-Owairan, Giovanni van Bronckhorst, Ronaldinho, Tim Cahill, Carlos Alberto, Diego Forlan, Roberto Baggio and Socrates have also made the list.Other nominees include Philipp Lahm, Manuel Negrete, Dennis Bergkamp, Gheorghe Hagi, Joe Cole, James Rodríguez, Lothar Matthäus and Robin van Persie.
