Fatai Osho is glad to see his Enyimba side win their league rescheduled NPFL match against Lobi Stars.
The Aba Elephants labored to a 2-1 victory over their visitors in Aba on Wednesday to move up to 7th position in the league standing.
Goals from Victor Mbaoma and Farouk Mohammed put Enyimba ahead, but the team had to suffer to get the result over the line after Martin Usule pulled one back for the Pride of Benue.
The three points is a massive boost for Enyimba as it moved them to just seven points behind the table leaders, Kano Pillars, and Akwa United, despite playing three-game less.
Speaking at the post-match conference, Osho said he proud to see his wards secure a win that saw them close the gap on the leaders.
“For some time now we’ve not been able to make the best use of our outstanding games. This is the first time that we are getting the three points. It’s a very important win for us and we are happy .” He said.
Next for Osho and his boys is a match against fierce rivals Kano Pillars at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna.
