Nigeria’s U20 Women’s NT are finally back in the country, after a flight delay from Turkey.
Christopher Musa and his players touched down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja in the early hours of Thursday.
The team was received by the General Secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation, Mohammed Sanusi.
Recall the Falconets were stranded at the Airport in Istanbul for more than 48 hours after leaving Costa Rica.
Speaking with team, Dr Sanusi apologized for the poor traveling arrangement and gave assurances that the girls will receive their bonuses very soon.
The Falconets were eliminated from the World Cup, after losing 2-0 to Netherlands in Alajuela last Sunday.
