Super Eagles goalkeeper, Ikechukwu Ezenwa has cooled down series of transfer rumours but admitted he has left FC Ifeanyi Ubah.
The 29-year-old goalkeeper Ezenwa spoke to brila.net’s Chidozie Okoroji and confirmed he has left his former Club, FC Ifeanyi Ubah.
“The decision to move on from FC Ifeanyi Ubah was the best for me and my family” Ezenwa to brila.net.
The goalkeeper, however, was grateful to FC Ifeanyi Ubah and the Chairman, Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah for the support he received during his time at the Club.
“Ifeanyi Ubah is a club dear to my heart, the club is more like my family, I appreciate what everyone has done for me here as regards my footballing Career”.
Meanwhile, The Super Eagles B team Captain, Ezenwa expressed his optimism that the CHAN Eagles will do well at the coming CHAN tournament coming in February.
The former Ifeanyi shot-stopper confirmed that he will be leading other teammates to Camp as soon as possible to commence preparation for the CHAN tournament.
Ezenwa further emphasized on the ‘solidarity and Unity’ in the Super Eagles team which has been one thing keeping the team going.
He also played down the fear of competition in the National team, claiming everyone in the goalkeeping department are brothers and they support each other whenever anyone is called upon.
Ezenwa spent one season with FC Ifeanyi Ubah, after moving from Akure based side, Sunshine Stars FC.
