Nigeria Professional Football League legend and League Management Company of Nigeria Players Adviser Victor Ezeji has advised players in the Nigerian league to exercise caution and seek a professional approach in their dealing at this period of transfer in the league to avoid been caught in the web of ignorance.
Ezeji speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said the transfer window is where players get it wrong in the Nigerian league due to ignorance and greed and advised that players make use of intermediary agents or lawyers especiall in the area of contract signings.
He however added that only players who are sure of their literacy level should go about contract signings alone which is not even the best.
“I urge players to if you know you cannot go with an intermediary or an agent, you decide to go on your own then be sure you can read and write, read whatever thing you’re about to sign, don’t allow anybody put you under pressure. Because most times what they do they will just turn the page and say sign here and the player will sign, you have to read what you’re signning if the players follow these procedure I’m very sure all these issues will never come up any longer.”
