FIFA has announced a six-month ban on Samuel Eto’o, President of the Cameroonian Football Association (FECAFOOT), due to breaches of the World Governing body’s Disciplinary Code.
The FIFA Disciplinary Committee confirmed that Eto’o was found guilty of violating Articles 13 and 14 of the code, which address offensive behavior, misconduct, and violations of fair play principles.
These charges relate to his conduct during the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup round of 16 match between Cameroon and Brazil, held in Bogotá, Colombia, on September 11, 2024.
As a result of the ban, the former Barcelona striker is prohibited from attending any matches involving Cameroon’s men’s and women’s teams across all age groups during the suspension period.
