Enyimba Technical Adviser Usman Abd’Allah believes the Oriental Derby against Rangers lived up to the hype with his team picking all three points following a 3-1 home victory.
The win was the biggest margin recorded between the two in a derby since 2010 and Abd’Allah described it as “explosive”.
Enyimba went into the game six points behind Rangers, who are top of Group A, and needed a big performance to inflict more damage on the visitors.
“The three goals is encouraging, but, the three points are more important. We just had to win the game and it ended 3-1, which was a big morale boost for the boys,” Abd’Allah told brila.net.
“They did very well, the game was very explosive and we had a very good game and it was down to the boys.”
