Former D’Tigers captain and board member of the Nigerian Basketball Federation NBBF Olumide Oyedeji has stated that all is set and fans can expect a bigger and better Nigerian Premier Basketball league as the season gets underway from Thursday in Lagos.
Oyedeji speaking with www.brila.net said Nigerian basketball league players as well as supporters should also look out for an interesting season which will stretch for much longer as more games will be played this season.
Oyedeji also added that the league season will see 28 matches been played by teams in the regular season before the conference playoffs and the national finals and two teams relegating at the end of the season from the topflight.
“All is set for the league season beginning from Thursday with the first set of games that day. The opener will see Kwara Falcons up against Customs. Nigerian basketball lovers can expects more games this season as teams will play more matches and the season will drag for much longer from April to October this year meaning more games for the players and fans.”
