Newly appointed Super Eagles head coach, Finidi George gave an interesting take on his philosophy.

Appointed on a two-year deal as Jose Peseiro’s successor, Finidi is tasked to qualify Nigeria for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and 2026 FIFA World Cup anf subsequently reach the semi final and quarter final of the respective tournaments.

In an exclusive interview on Brila FM the Super Eagles coach insists that the primary aim of his team will be to win, while trusting his players to execute on the pitch.

“My philosophy is to win,” said Finidi about his Philosophy. He continued, “Formation is not that important. If players interprete and they do what they need to do well (attack and defend when they should) the team will have no problems.”

Speaking on the World Cup qualifiers in June, he expressed optimism.

“We just hope everything goes well and we’ll be able to win those games.”
