Exclusive: Alex Iwobi Turns down Saudi Arabia, reveals UCL Ambition

Last season, Midfielder Alex Iwobi had a decent run for Everton despite their struggles in the English Premier League campaign.

Iwobi, however, has just one year left on his contract and will not be short of options should he choose to move away from Goodison Park.

The choice destination for footballers stars in recent months is the Saudi Pro League,  but when asked in a chat with BRL, if he would fancy a move to the Middle East, the Nigerian gave an insight into his transfer plans.

He stressed how much he would love to play in the Champions League and he won’t consider moving to the Saudi Pro League at this point of his career.

“I won’t go to Saudi Arabia, I feel like I have a lot to prove with my football, and I will like to play in the Champions League; it has always been my dream, I have played in it before and I want to have a taste of it again.”

“I have been told to focus on my football so whatever is happening behind closed doors, I’ll leave it to my agent. I don’t know what is going on, I am here to do a job for my National team, and I am here to focus on football.”
