Former Nigeria international Friday Ekpo has called for a thorough reflection in the camp of the Super Eagles following the team’s 2-0 defeat against first-timer Madagascar who eventually finished as group B winner ahead of Nigeria’s Super Eagles.
Ekpo speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said the team losing a game and leadership position in the Africa cup of nations to debutant Madagascar is one that calls for thorough reflection in the camp of the Super Eagles and also call on Coach Gernot Rohr to stick to his starting eleven and give Nigeria the best possible starting line up on match day.
“For a first timer to come into the competition and defeat Nigeria and still top the table is something we should think about. We need to go back to the drawing board once again, I keep saying this.
We can’t be gambling every now and then and the coach must equally even with qualification should stick with his starting 11 players.”
