Everton are set to take up the responsibility of Henry Onyekuru’s surgery though the attacker was injured during action with RSC Anderlecht.
Onyekuru 20, is on loan at Anderlecht from the Premier League club and has been ruled out for the rest of the Jupiler League season after tearing his medial ligament.
Meanwhile, the Toffees had already begun the process of ensuring the forward plays for them in the second half of the PL season.
Anderlecht’s coach Hein Vanhaezebrouck confirmed that the Nigeria International will miss the rest of the season due to what he called a serious knee injury.
Vanhaezebrouck said: “He is possibly out for six months.”
