Alex Iwobi was a first-half substitute for Everton against Manchester City, but the Winger was replaced in the second-half, as the Toffees suffered their third premier league defeat on a trot.
Iwobi was introduced for the injured Theo Walcott in the 7th minute, and he sparked some life into the game for the home side and contributed to Everton’s equalizer – to tie the holders 1-1 at half-time.
However, Everton will fall behind again, 2019 AFCON winner Riyad Mahrez producing another spectacular goal from a free kick (71′) to give City the lead.
However, three minutes later Iwobi was subbed off for fellow summer buy, Moise Keane.
But it didn’t stop the visitors picking up all three points as Raheem Sterling sealed a 3-1 win for Pep Guardiola’s men.
Everton slumping to their third defeat in the premier league now sees them slump to 15th place with seven points from seven games.
