Everton boss Rafael Benitez welcomes Alex Iwobi back to training

Everton manager Rafa Benitez has welcomed Super Eagles midfielder, Alex Iwobi back to training.

 

Iwobi sustained a calf injury while playing for Everton and was forced to miss Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifiers between Nigeria and Wild Beasts of the Central African Republic last week.

 

The injury also forced him to miss the Toffees 1-1 draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford.

 

Ahead of the weekend’s Premier League clash with West Ham United, Everton Boss, Rafael Benitez confirmed that the former Arsenal is among the injured players who have reported to full training.

 

“Alex Iwobi was training and [so were] Digne and Coleman – that is good news for us – they have started training with the team.”

 

Meanwhile, Benitez will didn’t confirm if Iwobi will be named in the squad that will face the Hammers at Goodison Park this weekend.
