Ferencvaros midfielder Anderson Esiti says banking on their fans to help achieve a great results against Leverkusen in the Europa League on Thursday.
Esiti insists with the fans backing the team, he believes they can stun the German Bundesliga side.
Leverkusen leads the tie 2-0 from the first leg and the second leg is scheduled for this Thursday at Feren Puskas Stadium in Budapest.
Ferencvaros have every reason to be confident going into the tie with their impressive record at home in the competition this season.
They have won four of their last five home games in the Europa League, and they’ll be hoping to improve the record and match on to the next round.
“It was not the result we wanted; it was quite an intense match. We also showed that we can create situations against them, which we will have to do in a week,” said Esiti, as per Ulloi129.
“Our fans are always great, but you have to come to Budapest to experience what they are really like. Not all of them could be here now, but they will also be able to make the difference in the return match.”
The defensive midfielder has been capped three times by the Super Eagles.
