Ethiopia’s captain, Loza Abera, was filled with excitement when she had the chance to meet reigning African Women’s player of the year Asisat Oshoala.
Abera met the African icon during Ethiopia’s 2024 Olympic Games qualifier against the Super Falcons. Abera, who managed to take a picture with Oshoala before the match, eagerly shared her joy on social media.
In her post, she described the meeting as an unforgettable moment with a football icon and a dream come true.
Abera praised Oshoala’s inspiring talent both on and off the field, highlighting that Oshoala is living proof that greatness can be achieved through hard work, dedication, and passion.
She also thanked Asisat for being a role model.

The Lucy held the Super Falcons to a 1-1 draw on Wednesday.
Abera will be in action when Lucy face in the reverse fixture at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja, next week Tuesday.
