Stoke City midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo could make a return for the Potters’ Championship clash against Barnsley this Saturday.
The Nigerian sustained a muscle injury during Stoke City’s 1-0 loss to Sheffield Wednesday two weeks ago and he has been absent in the Potters last two games.
However after further tests were carried out on him, a report from Stoke City Sentinel confirmed that the Super Eagles midfielder could make a return on Thursday and be fit for Saturday’s clash.
The Super Eagles midfielder has been a standout player for Stoke City this season making seven appearances after 14 championship games.
However, he was sorely missed in the game against Millwall which led to the sack of Nathan Jones last week.
He is one of three players put on standby for Nigeria’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Benin Republic and Lesotho next week.
