Ahead of the game against Sierra Leone, Midfielder Peter Etebo says the Super Eagles can’t afford to drop points in game one of the AFCON Qualifiers.
The Super Eagles file out against the Leone Stars at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja later today for the 2023 AFCON qualifiers opener.
Speaking ahead of today’s clash, Etebo warned that the visitors won’t be easy nut to crack : “The most important thing for us is that if we want to win the tournament, we must start now.”
“The game won’t be easy, the last time we played them, we were 4-0 up, but we lost focus & ended up drawing the game 4-4.
“In Freetown, it ended in a draw too. We need to start taking our games seriously & amass every point, so we can qualify for the 2023 AFCON,” He said.
The match will be played behind closed doors and kick off time is 5pm.
