Super Falcons forward, Esther Okoronkwo is enjoying a blistering run of form in the Canadian Women’s Super League in North America.
On Sunday, the 27-year-old striker found the net from the penalty spot in AFC Toronto’s 1-1 draw against Halifax Tides FC, keeping her side firmly in the race for top spot.
The goal stretched her tally to 18 direct goal contributions in her last 16 matches.
Double Delight in 7–0 Thrashing
Just a week earlier, Esther Okoronkwo had lit up the Northern Super League playoff race with a stunning all-round performance in Toronto’s 7–0 demolition of Vancouver Rise FC.
She opened the scoring in the 6th minute with a beautifully curled free kick, before adding a second in the 66th minute to complete her brace.
She also turned provider, setting up a teammate as Toronto stormed into the playoffs in style. That explosive display took her seasonal tally to 7 goals and 7 assists.
