Esther Elo Joseph has emerged as the Nigerian women’s 400m champion at the Olympic trials held in Benin.
Joseph secured her victory with an impressive time of 51.70 seconds.
Patience Okon-George, who recorded her fastest time in five years, finished closely behind Joseph with a time of 51.76 seconds, claiming second place.
Imaobong Nse Uko also delivered a strong performance, finishing third with a season’s best of 52.04 seconds in the highly competitive race.
The trials showcased the top talents in Nigerian athletics, setting the stage for the upcoming Olympic Games.
