Following the elimination of Kano Pillars in the CAF champions league qualifiers as well at the hands of Asante of Ghana and Niger Tornadoes at the hand of Santoba, former international, Joe Erico has revealed that the league needs to be repackaged, not money-wise but in terms of quality.
Erico, speaking with brila.net, also stated that the league should be unpredictable, with our Nigerian teams going anywhere and beating any team.
“The league is a true reflection of the players. Our league needs to be repackaged. The players should know what to do in the game itself, as well as off the game, so we need to package the league very well”.
“Not the monetary aspect of it, but the quality of players. The coaching aspect of it as well, where it brings out what football should look like”.
“The league should be unpredictable, so too should play performance. You should go to anywhere and beat anybody, anytime”.
