Equatorial Guinea’s goalkeeper, Jesús Owono, has expressed unwavering determination to thwart the attacking prowess of Nigeria’s star striker Victor Osimhen.
Equitorial Guinea will kick off their 2023 African Cup of Nations against Nigeria this Sunday, with Owono ready to face the challenge posed by Osimhen, the reigning African Footballer of the Year.
“I will do my best to stop Victor Osimhen and the other Super Eagles players in order to get a positive result in the first match.
“We were unknown in the last AFCON, and we did a great job. For this AFCON, the teams have more information about us. We train a lot, and we have prepared for the ramble.” He said at his pre-match press conference.
