Enyimba striker Victor Mbaoma has stated that the People’s Elephant are on a mission to rewrite the narratives and don’t intend to settle for less ahead of today’s CAF champions league first round first leg tie away to Sudanese side Al-Merreikh.Â
Mbaoma speaking in a chat withbrila.net revealed that the team already have a resolve to banish the ghost of losing out at this round of the champions league where they have dropped in the last two attempts only to drop for a campaign in Africa’s second tier club competition the CAF Confederation cup.
He stressed that this season the People’s Elephant want to stay and compete for honours in the CAF champions league.
“We had a meeting and we agreed on one thing and what we agreed is that we just have to go through this stage and get into the champions league because we don’t want to settle for less going for the Confederation.
“We have this all set and we all put our mind towards it. Concerning this game, I’m very sure we will come out in flying colours.”
