Enyimba FC is poised to announce Yemi Olanrewaju as their new head coach for the upcoming 2024-2025 campaign.
The club, which had been linked with Paul Offor following his dismissal from Sporting Lagos, has ultimately chosen Olanrewaju due to his impressive recent performance.
Olanrewaju was previously in contention for a position at Rivers United, where newly appointed head coach Finidi George expressed interest in having him as an assistant.
The two have a successful history together, having collaborated at Enyimba to secure the league title in 2023.
Following Finidi’s departure to assume a role with the Super Eagles, Olanrewaju stepped in as interim head coach at Enyimba.
During his interim tenure, he led the team to a third-place finish in the league and secured qualification for the CAF Confederation Cup.
Enyimba is expected to make an official announcement regarding their Coaching position in the coming days.
