Nigeria’s only representative in the CAF Confederation Cup, Enyimba FC will be seeded in the competition the Confederation of Africa Nations (CAF) have confirmed.
Enyimba secured qualification for the group stage at the expense of South African club, Bidvest Wits; thus confirming their return to the competition after 8 seasons.
In a statement explaining the draw procedure for the competition, CAF explained that the process was approved by the CAF Interclubs Committee.

And for the Total CAF Confederation Cup, the points system was decided as follows: winner – 5, runner-up-4, semi-final – 3, quarterfinal – 2, third in group – 1 and fourth in group – 0.5, multiplied by a co-efficient of 5,4,3,2,1 for the editions 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014 and 2013.
From above, USM Alger (Algeria), Al Hilal (Sudan), AS Vita (DR Congo) and Enyimba (Nigeria) were seeded in Pot 1.
The draw for the CAF Confederation Cup will hold on 21 April at the CAF Headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.
16 teams will compete for the honor of being crowned winner of Africa’s second tier club competition.
