Coach of Nigeria’s CAF champions league representative Enyimba, Usman Abdallah is looking beyond the immediate challenge of playing against Sudanese side Al-hilal and already has his sight focused on picking group stage qualification from the two legged ties against Al-hilal.
Abd’allah speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said a lot is been expected from Enyimba and they are also trying to ensure they live up to billing to make the group stage where the real competition for a club of Enyimba’s pedigree gets underway.
He added that the team will give it best to make the group stage after which they hope the league would have started and provide enough competition to put them in competitive mode.
“The way the team is organised and the tradition that goes with it plus the experience, the team is on track.
“We have to qualify into the group stage and when Enyimba scale through and get into the group stage, a lot will also be expected from the team.
“The team will deliver to qualify for the group stage first and by then, the league would have started so we will have a lot of competition to keep the team in shape and put the team in the competitive mode.”
