Enugu Rangers CEO hands down Ultimatum to embattled Coaches

Following Enugu Rangers’ 4-0 defeat to Abia Warriors FC in an NPFL oriental derby on Sunday in Umuahia, CEO of the Flying Antelopes Christian Chukwu (MFR) has handed Chukwuma Agbo and his technical crew an ultimatum; starting with Sunday’s league match against Nasarawa United FC, or face the wrath of the management.

In a statement released by the club on Wednesday the GM/CEO gave the charge after a technical review meeting with the technical crew of the club, in Enugu on Tuesday.

“He charged them to see the loss on Sunday to Abia Warriors as a wakeup call, talk to themselves, work as a team, take control of the players and focus on the remaining matches in the league.

“Chukwu advised them against ruing the Abia Warriors loss but brace up for further challenges, concentrate on Sundays match against Nasarawa United to achieve result, have a rethink and rebuild the team for optimum results.”

It further reads: “According to the General Manager the head Coach, Mr. Chukwuma Agbo should carry his colleagues along in whatever decision concerning the players, redouble their efforts, and abhor misunderstanding amongst themselves for the interest and overall performance of the team.

“He further harped on effective communication and robust relationship between the technical crew and the management to close ranks in issues affecting the players and the crew.”

“The GM assured the coaches of his readiness to consult widely and effectively before taking an action on behalf of the club.”
