Former England international, Gary Lineker has hailed Alex’s Iwobi goal against Chelsea in Wednesday’s Europa League final which they lost 4-1.
Iwobi came on as a second-half substitute and sparked the Gunners into life, creating numerous chances before wrapping it up with a sumptuous volley from outside the box.
Lineker, a former Liverpool great who also steered for the Kops in big games believes Iwobi’s goal will linger on in people’s memory despite the 4-1 defeat.
”That is one hell of a goal from Iwobi. We’ve seen some bonkers games in Europe this season. Not again, surely,” he wrote.
Many also questioned the rationale by Arsenal manager, Unai Emery to bench him for a teammate, Mesut Ozil.
