Enekwechi Shines at Morton Games, Ofili Wins in Tennessee

Nigerian shot-putter Chukwuebuka Enekwechi delivered a stellar performance at the Morton Games in Ireland this weekend.
The African Champions landed a throw of 21.52 meters to secure second place in the men’s shot put event.
Enekwechi who is having impressive season, has now surpassed the 21-meter mark in 17 of his 19 competitions.
The event was won by American Jordan Geist, who set a personal best with a throw of 22.25 meters.
In another development, sprinter Favour Ofili triumphed in the women’s 100 meters at the Ed Murphey Classic in Memphis, Tennessee.
Ofili clocked a time of 11.13 seconds (-0.9 wind), edging out Ackera Nugent, who finished second with 11.17 seconds.
Maia McCoy took third place, finishing in 11.32 seconds. Enekwechi and Ofili will be aiming to carry the good form into the Olympics in Paris.
