Technical director of the Handball Federation of Nigeria Ferdinand Emeana has stated that he hopes Nigeria will have a better end to her current campaign at the Africa Handball cup of nations through the President cup classification division despite the disappointment of losing out on world cup and Olympic qualification.
Emeanan speaking in a chat with brila.net said it was painful to have missed out on the hope to qualify f to world cup but the only thing to do now is to move on and look for ways to get better and end on a high.
Nigeria meanwhile lost to Guinea 30-24 in the first of the three group classification matches yesterday.
“It’s so disappointing as we came here with very high hopes believing that we are going to qualify for the world cup, well that is sports for you.
“We still have President cup to contest for we have Guinea, Nigeria, Libya and Kenya in one group, so we do hope that we are going to do better despite the loss. We just have to move forward.”
